Siemens will showcase its portfolio of cardiovascular solutions for optimised workflow and the highest standards of patient care at the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Conference in Sydney this Friday to Sunday - 14 to 16 August.
Siemens experts will demonstrate the latest Siemens world-leading innovations for cardiology through a unique patient workflow experience, including:
- Cardiovascular CT - The world’s first dual source CT, the SOMATOM Definition, is faster than every heartbeat, eliminating the need for beta blockers and reducing radiation exposure by as much as 50 percent compared to traditional cardiac CT imaging. Also taking the unmatched dual source technology to a whole new level, Siemens introduces the latest innovation in cardiac CT – the SOMATOM Definition Flash - the fastest and lowest dose CT in the world that can perform cardiac imaging at sub -1mSv.
- Echocardiography - Siemens latest advancements in cardiac ultrasound solutions will be showcased, including the ACUSON X300, the ACUSON P50 hand-carried ultrasound, and introducing the ACUSON SC2000 - the world’s first “echo in a heartbeat” ultrasound, enabling the acquisition of dynamic, full volume 3D images of the heart in a single heartbeat.
- Interventional Cardiology - The Artis zee® is the next generation of interventional imaging systems. See vessel edges more precisely, and ensure proper stent positioning within seconds. Artis zee’s future forward design also supports emerging therapeutic treatments. Being demonstrated on the Siemens booth is the latest syngo DynaCT cardiac software that can provide live 3D images directly at your fingertips in a cath lab.
- Electrophysiology and haemodynamics - Siemens demonstrates its innovative electrophysiology and haemodynamics system, the AXIOM Sensis, which can meet changing demands and adapt to new treatment methods.
- An innovation in patient monitoring, the Infinity® M300 provides the performance of a full-size patient monitor, packaged in a patient-worn telemetry device for adult and pediatric patients. Also being showcased at CSANZ 09 is the Infinity MegaCare - a web-based ECG management system designed with an emphasis on performance and security – resulting in a solution that is technology strong and workflow smart.
- Cardiology PACS and patient reporting – Siemens will showcase its leading suite of cardiology information technology solutions that can integrate the entire cardiology workflow with multi-modality image review and physician reporting, as well as patient management records and administrative reports – all from a single system. This includes the syngo® Dynamics system which advances its trendsetting strategy of delivering end-to-end IT, imaging and workflow solutions. In a clinical environment where images are critical to the care of a patient, physicians need all images and data accessible at one workstation and available via a longitudinal clinical repository. This solution helps enable the goal of a seamless, optimised workflow for the highest standard of care.
Siemens Vice President of Healthcare Mr Richard Guest said delegates visiting the Siemens stand will gain valuable insight into some of the latest Siemens innovations in cardiology through a unique workflow experience allowing them to experience the process first-hand from a patient’s perspective.
“This year we are doing something unique for our delegates by setting up our exhibition into multi-modality departments, and guiding delegates through them to showcase the latest technologies available in cardiology. Through this experience, we will be able to demonstrate how our technologies can help achieve the best outcomes for patients, and make the most out of the time delegates spend with us,” said Mr Guest.
Delegates will also have the chance to win a relaxing weekend away for two when they visit the Siemens stand - booth 81 in halls 4 and 5, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
