For the third year running, Siemens is pleased to present a series of Technology Days for energy customers throughout Australia.
Commencing in Perth on Thursday 7 May, this year’s focus is on the current demands and trends for the transmission and distribution industry, covering topics such as life cycle costs of GIS equipment, switchgear application for mine sites, IEC61850 demonstration and the new revision to the IEC 61850 standard. Siemens will also be taking the opportunity to discuss the future of the energy chain with an overview of Smart Grid.
“Our Technology Days present customers with a great opportunity to gain insight into current technologies, how they’ve been applied and future needs of the industry in response to our growing energy demands and need for sustainable and reliable energy supply,” said Mr Steve Robinson, Siemens Vice President of Power Transmission and Distribution.
“Smart Grid is a topical issue that we will take the opportunity to address. We are developing the capability now to equip our customers with the technology and expertise required for the future to meet the requirements of the smart grid.”
In past years customer feedback has been very positive. Energex’s Mike Gregg described his experience as, “one of the best seminars that I have attended. Very good range of topics and presenters – not just a company promotion. I would like to see many of Energex’s younger engineers attend in future.”
