The majority of our graduate vacancies arise in the areas of engineering, sales and commerce. From time to time, we also have graduate opportunities in other areas such as strategic business development, marketing, purchasing and human resources.
What kind of undergraduate opportunities exist at Siemens?
Most of our undergraduate opportunities arise on an ad hoc basis, depending upon business need and project activity. They vary in length from three months (vacation program) to twelve months (co-op program commencing mainly in January and August).

How many graduates and undergraduates does Siemens recruit annually?
Our graduate and undergraduate numbers vary based on business requirements and project activity. For graduates commencing in early 2009, we anticipate we will have between 20 to 30 vacancies across our various businesses.
What are your minimum requirements for graduates and undergraduates?
As we offer a diverse range of graduate and undergraduate roles, our requirements vary. The majority of our graduate roles require relevant tertiary degrees. For undergraduate vacancies, applicants are expected to currently be completing a relevant tertiary degree, and must be in their penultimate year of study.

Please note that one of the minimum requirements for the majority of our vacancies is a local work permit. What induction process can I expect?
All new starters will attend a Siemens induction workshop, giving you an insight into all of our eight solution areas as well as corporate departments, business strategy and organisational framework. You will also have the opportunity to build up networks with your new colleagues.
What training and development do you offer?
No matter which part of Siemens you join, training and development is a priority. We focus on continuous development of the individual, making sure you have the right skills to continue innovating and pushing the boundaries in your role.
Technical training depends on the business you join and the role you're in. Throughout our businesses, we tailor training to the individual. Typically you'll receive a mixture of on-the-job training and structured training with internal and external courses.

Your salary will depend upon the role you go into and where you're based. We regularly benchmark our salaries against the sectors in which we operate to ensure our salaries are competitive both internally and externally.
